This is simply a story I wrote for a literature class.  The class was called "Retelling the Tale", and we read classical literature and modern retellings of those stories.  Of course, our final paper was to retell a story ourselves, so I chose "The Six Swans", one of Grimms' fairy tales, and put a Japanese spin on it.

    I'm sure no one wants a full analysis of all the changes I made (and I did have to do that with the paper), so here is the story.

If anyone wants to play a game with this, there are several names in the story that I have admittedly stolen from other places.  If you can tell me where they came from, you a) know me way too well, b) have remarkably similar interests, or c) are psychic.  Have fun.
