Keywords:  feeling love, getting to know one another, figuring out where you stand, staying true to yourself, going by your own standards, choosing between right and wrong

Opposing Cards:  The Hierophant (Duke Dermail), The Hermit (Dr. J)

Supporting Cards:  The Empress (Relena Peacecraft)

Relena Peacecraft, Heero Yuy, Wing Gundam Zero

This is a pretty obvious call, isn't it?  But below the basic image of two people in love (protected by the Angel, wonderfully represented by Wing Zero), there is another layer of meanings.  The Lovers can also represent overcoming trials, and lord knows that these two kids had plenty of trials.

This card can also stand for a moral or ethical choice...you could twist this around to be the question of pacifism that is a central theme in Gundam.

"In readings, Card 6 often refers to a relationship that is based on deep love - the strongest force of all. The relationship may not be sexual, although it often is or could be. More generally, the Lovers can represent the attractive force that draws any two entities together in a relationship - whether people, ideas, events, movements or groups."

The last sentence sort of brings to my mind the strange force that bonds Heero to Relena, much to Heero's bewilderment.

Symbols:

- woman on the left, man on the right -- apparently this is a traditional thing.  Also, however, it is traditional to have the woman looking up and the man looking at the woman.  Heero and Relena are looking at each other.

- the angel -- he's blessing the union.  Isn't that cute?  He is thought to represent the archangel Michael.
