I can see Andelis, being an itinerant minstrel, but a talented one, spending quite a few nights in noble courts, in exchange for some unusual tales or songs.

The wandering minstrel was readily welcomed into the castle, and while the court awaited his appearance in the great hall, rumors flew like arrows.

"I heard he's from Kara-Tur!"

"No, no, but I've heard he's been there, lived among the Shou for years."

"They said he's from Chessenta, but he doesn't look like them at all."

"One of the maids saw a shackle-scar on his hand, he must have been a slave there!"

"Maybe a harem slave, have you seen him?"

As Andelis entered the room, though, all of the chatter died down immediately.

Good evening, my lords and ladies.

I'm quite grateful for your generous hospitality.

I've been traveling the countryside for quite some time, and while the land and the water and the sky are beautiful, one starts to miss the embrace of civilization after a while.

How might I repay the kindness of my hosts?

The lady calls for a song or a tale. What shall I sing of?

My travels? They have been far and wide...

Ah, a song from the East? Certainly. I imagine it is not often that the exotic melodies of the Shou are heard here.

As the minstrel began to play, the hall grew quieter still.
